A WOAH Collaborating Centre
The CFSPH was designated as a World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) Collaborating Centre in May 2016.
The CFSPH has been developing educational materials for veterinary students and veterinarians since 2001. Activities include development and delivery of the Transboundary and Emerging Diseases of Animals (TEDA) online course offered to veterinary students throughout the United States. The CFSPH also developed and delivered the APHIS-Approved Supplemental Training for the National Veterinary Accreditation Program.
The CFSPH worked with WOAH to develop online training for government officials who report disease outbreaks using the WOAH reporting system. In the future, the CFSPH hopes to work with partners to develop and deliver online training that reflects the WOAH recommendations on the competencies of graduating veterinarians.
