Course Details
Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is a fatal disease affecting many kinds of cervids. Veterinarians and cervid producers must work together to protect the health of cervids. This course will cover general information about cervids and CWD, USDA’s CWD Herd Certification Program, and details regarding participation in the following state CWD Programs: Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Texas. Additional states to be added in 2025 include: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
